St. Louis, Mo — American Piping Products has been named one of the Top 150 Privately Held Companies by the St. Louis Business Journal for 2014. Posting a revenue of $210 million, American Piping Products grew 28.8 percent year over year and came in 90th on the St. Louis Business Journal’s list.
In 2013, American Piping Products instituted a clearly defined strategic plan that included investments in people, new product lines and new equipment.
“We communicated that plan throughout the organization. The implementation of our strategic plan, along with a lot of very hard work from everyone in the organization, allowed us to take advantage of growth in our end markets,” said CEO Al Rheinnecker.
In 2014, American Piping Products created more than 25 new positions nationwide, added production equipment to both Houston and Chicago facilities and relocated St. Louis headquarters and Philadelphia offices to bigger spaces.
With an inventory of more than 60,000 tons of steel pipe, fittings and flanges, American Piping Products is one of the largest piping product distributors in the world. American Piping Products has been named to the St. Louis Business Journal’s Top 150 Privately Held Companies list for several consecutive years and has previously been named to Metal Center News’ list of Top 50 Pipe and Tube Suppliers in the U.S.
