St. Louis, Mo (May 10, 2012) – American Piping Products’ (APP) hard work is really starting to pay off. The Chesterfield, Missouri based piping distributor grew 45.6% last year, earning the 99th spot on the St. Louis Business Journal’s Top 150 Private Companies list. The company’s 2011 revenue was $150,000,000.

“We’re truly not in this for the lists or the notoriety,” said Al Rheinnecker, Chief Executive Officer of APP. “But we are pleased that the hard work of all of the APP employees is paying off. It is nice to be up there with the Big Boys, but this won’t be going to our head.”

As stated in the feature in the St. Louis Business Journal, APP’s revenue has grown from $63 million in 2009 to the $150 million mark in 2011. CFO Matt Danis credits gain in market share and an increase in demand, as well as a more focused “tapping” of service to the domestic oil and gas markets and international energy opportunities.
