AJ’s path to American Piping Products is anything but ordinary. A Missouri native, he went on to play tight end at Yale before transitioning to coaching, where he spent years on the offensive line sidelines in the SEC, Big Ten, and the CFL. The discipline, strategy, and team-first mentality that defined his time in football didn’t stay on the field — they followed him directly into sales, where he found a new arena to compete in. Introduced to the steel industry by his brother-in-law, AJ quickly discovered that his love of selling and his natural ability to build relationships made it a perfect fit.
At APP, AJ’s focus is simple: help his customers win. Whether that means finding the right product, solving a tough problem, or just being a reliable partner they can count on, he approaches every customer relationship with the same intensity and preparation he brought to the game. Off the clock, AJ stays active and outdoors as much as possible — golfing, hunting, or finding the next adventure. At home, his favorite company is his wife, son, and two dogs.
