Scott Talbert

Born and raised in St. Louis, Scott grew up in a sports household — baseball and basketball were practically a second language. Steel wasn't exactly on his radar coming out of the Midwest, but somewhere along the way the industry got its hooks in him, and once that happens, you realize you're working at the engine of American industry. There's no going back. Scott played baseball in college, which shaped how he thinks about competition, preparation, and showing up for the people around him — values that still drive how he approaches his work and his life. Today he's married to Rachel, and together they're raising three great kids. They stay active with sports, church, and whatever chaos comes next. At APP, what keeps Scott energized is the pace and the problem-solving. Every day brings a new challenge, and he genuinely enjoys strategically partnering with customers to build value for both sides of the relationship — whether that's helping them understand value-added services, find efficiencies, or grow their own business. This industry rewards the people who lean in, and Scott tries to do that every day. Outside of work, you'll find him coaching youth baseball, out on the water fishing, or working through chords on the guitar. His favorite escape is North Captiva Island, Florida — no bridge, no roads, just boats and fishing and a slower pace. His favorite band is Needtobreathe, which probably tells you something about him.
