Torrey is a St. Louis native in every sense — born and raised and ultimately drawn back to it by the things that matter most: family, community, and roots. A graduate of Saint Louis University with a bachelor’s degree in finance, he was also a member of the Billikens baseball team, a experience that instilled the competitive drive and team-first mentality he carries into his work to this day. After a three-year stint in the financial industry in New York City, Torrey made the decision to come home, start a family, and build something lasting.
He joined American Piping Products in early 2007, drawn by the opportunity to see a direct connection between the effort he puts in and the results he gets out. Nearly two decades later, that motivation hasn’t faded. Torrey genuinely enjoys the relationships he builds with customers and finds real satisfaction in learning how the products he supplies are being put to work across a wide range of applications. Even better? Collaborating with customers to find creative solutions that make something better or entirely new.
At home in St. Louis County, Torrey shares his life with his wife, a teenage son and daughter, and their Aussiedoodle. He’s an enthusiastic supporter of his kids’ activities and loves traveling with the family. On his own time, he’s equally at home on the golf course, in the garden — where he’s discovered a genuine green thumb and a love of growing and pickling his own vegetables — or planning the next adventure. A good beach vacation is always on the table, but Torrey has his sights set on exploring more of Europe’s history and cities whenever the opportunity arises.
